sometimes trying to have happy thoughts is like searching for springtime flowers in the middle of winter...

[published December 15th @ 1.25 p.m.]
hmm.. after reading Tudor's comment I wanted to complete the post with the lyrics of one of my favorite songs "bill withers - Ain't no sunshine".. who's "she"? anything or nothing.. anyone or no one.. maybe just sanity sometimes ..

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.
It's not warm when she's away.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And she's always gone too long anytime she goes away.

Wonder this time where she's gone,
Wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And this house just ain't no home anytime she goes away.

And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know

Hey, I ought to leave the young thing alone,
But ain't no sunshine when she's gone, only darkness everyday.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone,
And this house just ain't no home anytime she goes away.

Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.

i know what you mean with that statement. sometimes is hard to see over the clouds and fog even if you are an optimistic temper. the colors are well processed and the composition is with taste. good luck with coolphotoblog competition too

thank you Tudor. good luck to you too :). as for the so called statement.. i don't know what to say, it was just a mood I was in when I posted the picture. anyway, it's good to know that one is understood and not judged for what he has said, done or not at one moment in time. I must admit i'm no good at giving second chances, but sometimes we just need a break. or not? :)

Pansies are one of my favorite flowers. We grow them all winter long. Nice capture.

Maybe springtime flowers can't live in winter...
Anyway, the sunshine is a flower of the winter...

@Sherri i'm glad you like pansies, my mother likes them too and she used to plant them each year, but they hardly survived the winter. may be now with the global warming they would have more chances, who knows :)

@Nomade, sunshine could be a flower of the winter, but is so moody, like a woman at the middle age :)

thanks you both for your visit and comment..
