see you in paradise

As some of you may already know, this year I succeeded in visiting a piece of Asia. It was a dream that I had for a long time and I will tell you all about it as I always do, in pictures and words. But, as I was away for a long time, when I got back there were things to resolve and I didn't had the time to make a proper selection.

So, until they are ready, I got these three shoots that I took two days ago. There are from my country, Romania, which has such an unspoiled, natural, beauty that sometimes seems unearthly. Or at least this is my feeling. I made thes in Bucegi Natura Park, while cruising at altitude of about 2000 meters. You can get there by cable car or by foot, climbing the Bucegi Mountains. If you ever take into consideration to visit this place, you can find more details here.

Street Delivery. A People's Story

25 comments:

The most waited-summer-announcing event of 2ooo and ten, at least for me, is Street Delivery, a local project that "closes the streets for the cars and opens them for the people". This year was the fifth edition and the best so far if you ask me. After last year when I had such high expectations and came up empty, photographically speaking, this year I can say that I'm satisfied by the outcome. Bellow you can find a short selection and if you want to see more you can go here.

p.s. As you can see I have a brand new copyright watermark. I know that it can be an inconvenient, but taking in consideration that last week somebody stole one of my picture I said that was about time to make one... It's not quite what I had in mind, but it works for the moment.

life's snapshots

15 comments:

The last days I've struggled, with all my power, not to fall in the despair that surrounds me. Regardless of what happens in the world, in your country, with your government, at work, on the way home, I've realized that one has the choice to be thankful and to try to make the best of his life or... not. Don't mistake this kind of attitude with naivety, futility or ignorance. It has nothing to do with that.

"Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it." - Mother Teresa

Patrick Summerfield said that black and white photography is like a perfect lie. Now, what can I say, better a lie than a common-colored-spoiled image.
