bridge to never never land

------------------------------------------------------------------

what I like about traveling, in random order:

* missing the loved one
* walking safe in the streets in the middle of the night
* taking at least one good shot (photography shot, not tequila)
* people smiling at me without hidden purposes
* talking with complete strangers and finding connections
* adopting a pet, most likely a cat
* free internet hot spots right next of an archeological excavations
* clean bathrobe and slippers in the hotel room
* having an excuse to watch cnn until four a.m., in the morning
* buying chocolate and parfume at airport duty-free
* reading on the plane
* having an excuse for shopping in general
* having an excuse to eat junk food (I know I know, eating junk food has never an excuse)
* good interstate highways
* arriving at the beach. any beach
* because it changes you

... and the list remains open for your reasons

"What you've done becomes the judge of what you're going to do - especially in other people's minds. When you're traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don't have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road'.

perfect composition romina. I don't really like taking night photos because I don't have the so much needed patience for it, but i like yours. should i understand, between lines, that you were in one of those midnight walks? :)

I like traveling because every place on Earth is truly unique, and yet we are all very much the same. If one tries they can feel at home anywhere.

I love the blue in the center and the bright yellow on the pillars. Beautiful shot.
As someone who doesn't travel much, I enjoyed your list, especially the quote. It's enticing me as a writing prompt.

@Calusarus: yes I did use a tripod, but it was my first time when i did. there were more like trial shots. In this occasion I realize, one more time, that I don't have patience not even for waiting 20 second for a long exposure shot. There were many things that I could photograph in the surroundings of that bridge, but I didn't have the patience to do it.

Already the bridge by him even is very nice as building, you emphasized with light and a very nice composition for eyes, you had every reason to put more PX on photographs presentation Blogspot.

This really is some special and wonderful tones you found here. Nighttime and the illuminated bridge. Truly eye candy. That is one longtime exposure that's really peaceful.

* because it changes you

Couldn't agree more.

ps. Thank you thank you for 'internationalizing' the comment form :D

Fantastic nocturnal taking. The colors are sensational! Perhaps by the right you must have let more space to take the arc complete!

@Jose-Angel: you are right.. but it was quite a dangerous zone on the Rhine river side and i could move and to widen the angle meant to get also the cathedral in the picture. so, actually this is a cropped picture..
